Wedding Entertainment and Party Ideas

Here’s a fun fact; did you know the three most popular days of the year for marriage proposals are Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Day? To be honest, we thought Valentines Day might have made the top three list.

As 2022 comes to a close, it’s time for reflection of the past, and excitement for the coming year, which may be one of the reasons there are so many engagement announcements and the need for wedding and event entertainment ideas.

The Art of Celebration – The Journey

Wedding and Event Entertainment Ideas

We invite you on a celebratory journey to dance through the decades with the Moments Notice Band and The Jerry Barnett Orchestra. Let’s start at the beginning of the 20th century!

You may choose a theme from a particular decade or perhaps you are looking for a countdown of the past 50-100 years. No matter your preference, we will customize to fit your style and energy. Here we go.

1920’s

Remember The Great Gatsby and The Cotton Club with glittering jazz and bathtub gin? Our dancers will be dressed as Flappers and musicians will wear Zoot Suits and will get you on the dance floor to the songs of yesteryear (The Charleston, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Ain’t We Got Fun).

1930’s

Lindbergh hops the Atlantic and the “Lindy Hop” was born. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were Dancing Cheek to Cheek on the big screen. Gin Rickey drinks were all the rage as you dance to Them There Eyes and Puttin’ on the Ritz at The Savoy Ballroom.

1940’s

The Jerry Barnett Orchestra will get you In The Mood when the band kicks off that famous sax introduction inviting everyone to Jitterbug on the floor. Glenn Miller, The Andrews Sisters (Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy) and The Big Band sounds of Benny Goodman, and Count Basie will have you swingin’ into the night.

1950’s

If you want to Rock n’ Roll on the dance floor, we’ll entertain you with Hound Dog, The Bob, The Stroll, Great Balls of Fire and At The Hop.

1960’s

Motown, R&B and let’s get this party started with Sam Cook’s Let’s Twist Again Like We Did Last Summer. Then let’s get serious on the dance floor with Wilson Pickett’s Land Of 1000 Dances. The Moments Notice Band will have you doing The Monkey, The Sprinkler, Mashed Potatoes, Monster Mash, and so much more.

1970’s

Are you ready to go to Funkytown and enjoy the Disco Infero and Saturday Night Fever tunes with Stayin’ Alive, Dancing Queen and I Will Survive, and then sing and dance with us to Earth, Wind & Fire’s September.
